The Corporate and Benefits practices of Duane Morris present: Going Private.
These briefings are geared for CEOs, CFOs and other key decision makers from U.S. public companies that see their profit significantly reduced, or even erased, by the financial burden that comes with being publicly traded (including D&O insurance, accounting/legal needs, investor relations and PR costs). Companies in this position choosing to utilize one of the many strategies to purchase their own shares and become private is more common every year.
The program will help executives recognize whether their company is a good candidate for going private and understand the various approaches that can be used. The session will address specific concerns of thinly traded public companies and provide insight on the benefits and disadvantages (financial and otherwise) that should be considered by companies contemplating the public-to-private transition.
The briefings will be held in the following offices with breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by the program from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
New York - October 28
Philadelphia - November 3
Washington, D.C. - November 6
Boston - November 11
Chicago - November 13
San Francisco - December 4
